1. Who We Are
The aniLang mobile apps for iOS and Android and the aniLang website (together, the “Service”) are provided by Asım Anıl Kurdal, an individual developer based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”), who is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: anilang192@gmail.com.
2. No Account Needed
The app works without registration, e-mail or password. On first launch it creates a random identifier for your device (shown in the app as your Support ID). We use it to keep your usage limits, coach history and purchases together. It does not contain your name or contact details.

We process this data to provide the Service you request (contract), for our legitimate interests in keeping it secure, stable and improving it, and — where required, for example for personalised ads in the EEA/UK — with your consent.
4. AI Processing
When you use AI features, the text, voice or images you submit are sent to OpenAI and, for translation, to Google Gemini to generate a response. These providers process the content on our behalf under their business terms. Please do not submit sensitive personal data (for example health information or identity documents) that you do not want processed this way.
5. Advertising and Your Choices
- Free users may see ads from Google AdMob. Premium subscribers are not shown ads.
- On iOS, the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent through Google’s consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy options.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
6. Permissions
The app asks for the microphone (speaking practice), speech recognition on iOS, the camera and your photos (scanning text) only when you use those features. You can turn them off in your device settings at any time.
7. Website
The website (anilang.vercel.app) presents the app and its legal pages. It does not sell anything and does not use a geolocation service. It uses Google Analytics (linked to our Firebase project) to measure visits:
- In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Türkiye, Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. We decide whether to show the banner from your browser’s time zone; no location data is sent to us for this.
- In other countries, Google Analytics is loaded by default.
- Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If you reject, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are removed. Your choice is stored in your browser.
- The website does not show ads and does not use Google Analytics data for advertising.
8. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers listed above, which process it on our behalf, with app stores for payments, and where required by law.
9. International Transfers
Our servers (AWS, us-east-1) and most of our providers are located in the United States. Where data is transferred from the EEA, UK or Türkiye, it is protected by the providers’ contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Retention
- Uploaded voice recordings, images and documents: deleted automatically within 1 day.
- Coach conversation history: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Coach profile, usage counters and subscription status: kept while you use the app, deleted on request.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months. Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Purchase records: as long as required for accounting and legal obligations.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or Türkiye’s KVKK), you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Send your request with your Support ID (Settings in the app) to anilang192@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. 12. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the related data.
13. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access to our servers is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, inform you in the app.
