1. About These Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the aniLang mobile applications for iOS and Android and the aniLang website (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Asım Anıl Kurdal, an individual developer based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

aniLang helps you practise English with an AI speaking coach and offers writing tools such as grammar correction, paraphrasing, translation and text recognition from images (OCR). Some features are free and may have usage limits; others require a paid subscription (“Premium”). We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions, Free Trials and Payments

4.1 Purchases in the mobile apps

Premium subscriptions bought in the aniLang iOS or Android app are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through your store account. The available plans, the price in your local currency, the billing period and any free trial are shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.

4.2 Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.

4.3 Free trials

If a plan includes a free trial, the trial length is shown before you subscribe. When the trial ends, you are charged the plan price and the subscription renews automatically, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple or Google (for example, a trial is usually offered only once per account). Any unused part of a free trial ends when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

4.4 How to cancel

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your store account:

  • iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → aniLang → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → aniLang → Cancel subscription.

Deleting the app or your aniLang account does not cancel a store subscription. After you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

4.5 Refunds for app purchases

Refunds for purchases made through Apple or Google are handled by the store under its own policies, and we cannot issue them directly. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from Google Play through your order history or the Google Play refund help page.

4.6 Purchases on our website

Where Premium is offered on our website, the purchase is processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for those orders. Our Refund Policy applies to website purchases.

4.7 Price changes and restoring purchases

We may change subscription prices. Apple and Google notify you of price increases and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies. To restore an active subscription on a new device, sign in with the same store account and tap “Restore purchases” in the app.

5. Free Features and Advertising

The free version of the app may show advertisements provided by Google AdMob and may limit how much you can use certain features. Some features can be unlocked temporarily by watching an optional rewarded ad; the reward is granted only when the ad is completed. Premium subscribers are not shown ads. Where required (for example in the EEA and the UK), we ask for your consent before showing personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time in the app settings.

6. AI-Generated Content

Conversations, corrections, feedback and scores in aniLang are generated automatically by artificial intelligence models, including models provided by third parties such as OpenAI. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate, and it is provided for learning and practice only. It is not professional, legal or academic advice and does not guarantee any exam result. Please review important content yourself before relying on it.

7. Your Content

You keep ownership of the text, voice recordings, images and documents you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit and store your User Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service. This includes sending it to service providers (such as AI and cloud providers) that process it on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for your User Content and must have the right to submit it. Please do not submit sensitive personal data about yourself or others that you do not want processed.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing or fraudulent purpose;
  • submit content that infringes others’ rights or that is illegal, hateful or sexually explicit;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the Service, or access it by automated means (bots, scrapers) except as we permit;
  • bypass or manipulate usage limits, subscriptions, advertising rewards or security measures;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics and the name “aniLang”, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes in line with these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services, including Apple, Google (Google Play, Firebase, AdMob), RevenueCat, Supabase, Paddle and AI providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Availability and Updates

We try to keep the Service available, but it may be interrupted, changed or discontinued at any time. Some updates may be required to keep using the app, for example for security or payment reasons.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and request the deletion of your account on our account deletion page or by email. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. Ending your account does not cancel a store subscription; please cancel it as described in section 4.4.

13. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

15. Additional Terms for the iOS App

If you downloaded aniLang from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). In addition:

  • These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you use the Service as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim there. Otherwise, the competent courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, for material changes, inform you in the app or on the website. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

  • Uygulama içi satın alımların iadesi Apple veya Google’ın kendi politikalarına göre yapılır. Web sitesinden yapılan satın alımlarda İade Politikası geçerlidir.
  • Ücretsiz sürümde reklam gösterilebilir; Premium abonelere reklam gösterilmez. Yapay zekâ çıktıları hatalı olabilir ve sınav başarısı garantisi vermez.
